“Which is going to be the best?” is the primary consideration for families, home owners, schools and businesses.
Our consultants will evaluate your particular needs, survey the home and offer solutions that meet your expectations.
We will also discuss the various benefits of the different types of heaters currently available.
Convector heaters fall into two installation categories:-
FLUED CONVECTOR HEATING
If asthma is of concern, a power flued convector will be the best choice for you as they expel the combustion products out through the flue.
Likewise, power flued heaters can be fitted in most rooms throughout a homes and businesses.
Flued convectors come in many heat sizes, suitable for small bedrooms or studies to large lounges or indeed school classrooms, offices and halls.
Indeed, many early childhood centers demand the power flued type of heater as they deliver highly efficient heating, are cool to the touch and do not use the air from the room they are located in.
This gives peace of mind when little ones are around.
Most heaters are thermostatic, which gives you the ability to manage your individual heating needs. Some heaters are programmable too.
UNFLUED CONVECTOR HEATERS
These heaters are simple to install, therefore, installation costs are low.
They are higher in heating efficiency, (90%).
However, they can only be fitted into well ventilated specific areas within a home.
While these heaters are safely controlled by a device that switches them off within a minute if the flame goes out, they are not suitable for bedrooms or bathrooms.
There are small unobtrusive heaters available for back ground heating in halls and passages.
Some unflued convectors are portable, they are connected to you gas system by “Bayonet taps”.
This allows you to disconnect the heater safely to store it away during the summer.
Indeed, we frequently install two or more bayonets in different rooms so the heater can be moved around to where ever you prefer.
These heaters also have the safety control as mentioned above as well as “anti tip” devices just in case they get knocked over.
Most portable heaters are fan assisted, to gently blow the warmed air across the floor allowing you to position the heater to direct the heat where you want it.
