Central Heating
Central heating can be categorized into two types of systems:-
- WARM AIR SYSTEMS
- RADIATOR SYSTEMS OR EUROPEAN STYLE HEATING.
Gas Pro Craftsmen technicians and consultants are experienced in both types of systems and have been successfully designing and installing systems in and around Wellington since 1975.
Central heating could be described as “Whole house heating from one central source that is capable of heating every room of your home, office, shop or business”.
Warm air ducting can be extended throughout a building with an outlet grill in each room to heat it.
With radiators a boiler is fitted and water pipes are extended from the boiler to a radiator located in each room.
Grills can be located in the floor, wall or ceiling.
Radiators and towel rails are fitted to the walls.
Both are safe for children and indeed the elderly.
As to their location, this will depend on how the premise has been built.
Gas Pro’s technicians are very skilled and experienced at installing systems into existing homes and businesses. However, the best time to install central heating is during the building process.
Condensation? Not a problem. Central heating systems have been solving peoples condensation problems for many years before the advent of the recent spate of ceiling ventilation systems. When it is freezing outside, so are most lofts and ceilings!
Programmable thermostats usually control central heating. This gives you complete control over your comfort with the satisfaction of efficient economy. Set it and forget it!
You are in complete control, no matter what the weather or outside temperature.
Likewise, both systems can have a degree of control over each room, some by manual operation others by automated means depending on which system is selected.
Both warm air and radiator systems will give you the comfort you deserve and with easy to use controls puts you in charge of your total heating.
“Which is the best system for us?” you may well ask.
This will depend on the design of the home or premise, how you wish to use it and whether you prefer the look of grills or radiators.
Radiator systems do have an advantage as the same boiler can also be used to heat your hot water. That’s right, one boiler to do both heating and hot water!
Radiator systems are virtually silent in operation.
Warm air systems are rapid in heating. A standard three bedroom home will be cozy within half an hour from a cold start!
Warm air is recycled through a return air duct usually placed central to the premise.
That way the system is not constantly heating up cold air, therefore effective and efficient!
Gas Pro consultants would be pleased to listen to your requirements and work with you to find a satisfactory solution to your particular heating needs.
